The Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support & Safe Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is a half-day course designed to give you the knowledge and skills needed to perform CPR and safely use an AED in emergency situations. Basic Life Support (BLS) refers to the essential actions needed to keep someone alive in a medical emergency, mainly CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and the safe use of an AED (defibrillator). This course gives you the confidence to act quickly and effectively when someone’s breathing or heart has stopped.
The BLS & AED course runs for half a day (around 3–4 hours). We also offer flexible start and finish times for group or workplace bookings to fit around your schedule.
Yes, the course includes hands-on practice with manikins and training AEDs so you can apply what you’ve learned in a realistic but safe environment.
