Our 3 day First Aid at Work (FAW) course is the most comprehensive first aid qualification available in the UK. It fully meets the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and is designed to prepare you for dealing with medical emergencies in both low risk and high risk workplaces.

Who should attend the First Aid at Work course?
This course is ideal for those working in higher risk industries such as construction, manufacturing, and large office environments, as well as anyone appointed as a workplace first aider. It is also suitable for individuals who want an in-depth understanding of first aid for personal knowledge. If you only need basic first aid training for a low-risk setting, our 1 Day Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course is a more suitable option.
Course Duration:
6 hours (usually 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM) over 3 days. Flexible timings are available for group bookings at your venue.
What is covered?
- Roles & responsibilities of a first aider
- Assessing incidents and ensuring safety
- Managing unresponsive casualties
- Adult CPR and safe use of an AED Recovery position and monitoring breathing
- Heart attack, stroke, epilepsy, asthma, diabetes, choking, and anaphylaxis
- Head, spinal, and chest injuries
- Wounds, bleeding, fractures, and shock
- Burns, scalds, and eye injuries
- Sprains, strains, and dislocations
- Poisoning and serious medical emergencies
On completion, you will hold a nationally recognised Level 3 FAW qualification, proving you are trained and compliant to act as a competent first aider in both low and high risk workplaces.
The course is delivered over 3 full days, typically 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM each day, including breaks. For group bookings at your workplace, flexible start and finish times can be arranged to suit your schedule.
We recommend attending all 3 days to gain full certification. If you miss part of the course, speak to our team to discuss options, as attending partial sessions may not result in a valid qualification.

The qualification lasts 3 years, in line with HSE First Aid regulations. To stay current, it’s recommended to attend a requalification course before the certificate expires.
